Instead, the weekend Conference will feature classes, panels, and presentations revolving around what's happening in literature now, from memoir writing to book promotion to web publishing. I would list highlights, but any of the events will make the literary-inclined salivate. Okay, just a few:
Presentation: "With Young Readers, Old Rules May Not Apply"
Panel: "Careers for Creative Writers"
Class: "Creative Research in Literary Nonfiction"
Of course, you won't want to miss Zach and Jonathan at this smorgasbord. Their extra-special presentations are on Saturday and Sunday, so drool over...
Zach on the panel "What Publishers Want," 7/17 from 2-3 pm at the DePaul Center, Room 8010 (333 S. State Street)
Zach and Jonathan on the panel "How to Start Your Own Small Press," 7/18 from 1:30-2:30 pm at the DePaul Center, Room 8005
We're also giving a big thumbs up to Kevin Coval, Jac Jemc, and "One Life as Literary Artist—Hold the Agony, please!" badass talk by Janet Desaulniers, right after Z + J on Sunday.
Do note that this Conference requires pre-registration, and you can sign up for all three days ($260) or just a single day ($110).
